The digitally delivered Scripps News offering from the E.W. Scripps Co. is celebrating the arrival of a business and technology correspondent. She’ll “cover the intersection of the economy, technology and science” and is based in Denver.
Maura Barrett joined Scripps News, which was discontinued as a digital multicast network due to tepid advertising interest, on Monday.
She brings a decade of experience reporting and producing for NBC News, where she served as a Chicago correspondent. Barrett was, before that, a campaign reporter embedded on the 2020 trail, and a producer for NBC News’ Business and Tech Unit.
