An unbuilt Construction Permit for a noncommercial radio station with 1,600 watts of power from a peak on the Hawaiian Island of Lanai, due west of Maui, has been sold.

The buyer is CSN Radio‘s parent.

This puts the wheels in motion for KLNY-FM 88.9 in Lanai City to sign on the air, as CSN International is paying Specialized Educational Broadcasting $25,000 for the right to bring the station to life.

When the transaction concludes, KLNY is expected to rebroadcast KAWZ-FM in Twin Falls, Idaho, bringing Christian Talk and Teaching programming from the broadcast ministry to Maui.

To make KLNY happen, FM translator K205EB must relocate to 91.1 MHz.

On Maui, there are no spoken word religious stations on the FM dial.
