The license is “a Catholic broadcasting apostolate dedicated to bringing souls to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary.” Its main broadcast facilities include KBVM-FM in Portland, Ore., and KMME-FM in the Eugene-Springfield market.

Now, the FCC has given its approval to the sale by Mater Dei Radio of a dark FM radio translator in The Dalles.

With 10 watts at 1,841 feet, K256AC at 99.1 MHz in The Dalles, Ore., is being acquired by Al Wynn and his Larson-Wynn Inc.

This will make K256AC a sibling of KODL-AM 1440, a Classic Country station that uses K263BT at 100.7 MHz to bring “AM revitalization” via an FM signal to the picturesque town along the Columbia River.

The FCC on Friday granted the deal, agreed upon in late March.

A $17,000 purchase price has been agreed to by the parties.

Physical assets included in the transaction include an Inovonics FM rebroadcast receiver (AARON 640 or older model).
