With a Forfeiture Order adopted Wednesday (Jan. 18) by the FCC‘s Media Bureau, the name Vasco Oburoni can now be inscribed in the Commission’s Book of Buccaneers.
File this one under a chapter we may wish to call “Deliberate Disregard … and Being Dumb.”
His unlicensed radio station is apparently still on the air.
RBR + TVBR OBSERVATION (full text below for Members Only): Oh boy, Oburoni … We would love to empathize with you and perhaps validate your argument that proper responses to a Notice of Apparent Liability may be confusing to those with little knowledge of what to do. But, dude … you were STILL operating your pirate radio station five days after your response to the FCC requesting an appeal?!
