On February 1, RBR+TVBR first shared the news that a small broadcaster with TV stations in its home market of Salisbury-Ocean City, Md.; adjacent city Dover, Del.; Bowling Green, Ky.; Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and two Georgia markets has just agreed to acquire a construction permit for a low-power television station in one of those markets — a move that bolsters its presence there.

The transaction, which sees Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group serve as the exclusive broker for the seller in this transaction, has now closed.

The parent of WNKY-40 in Bowling Green, Ky., Brian and Patricia Lane-owned Marquee Broadcasting, has completed its $30,000 purchase of the construction permit for W16EI-D in Bowling Green. It carries FCC ID 182667.

The seller is Florida-based King Forward Inc., led by John Kyle.

Marquee was formed and is owned by Patricia Lane, its President, and Chief Financial Officer Brian Lane.  They acquired WNKY-40 on June 30, 2017 from Max Media, a Norfolk-based company known for its radio stations in the Tidewater region, among other markets. The WNKY purchase came after the purchase of stations in Toccoa, Ga., and Glenwood Springs, Colo., earlier that year. Its WMDT-47 in Salisbury-Ocean City was purchased in November 2013.
