Until now, Jorge Figueroa and his TV Red de Puerto Rico has held the licenses to two low-power television stations — one serving Ponce and the southern portion of the island and another located near Mayaguez, serving the western areas of Puerto Rico.
Paperwork filed with the Commission shows that TV Red de Puerto is selling the stations.
Two filings were made for FCC approval. The first sees Añasco, Puerto Rico-licensed W34FK-D (shown above, left) being sold for $62,500.
The second deal sees Santa Isabel-licensed W18DQ-D being spun for an additional payment of $62,500.
The buyer is Tele Norte Broadcasting Corp., and a combined $25,000 deposit has been made to the seller.
Closing will occur 30 days after final payment is made.
The buyer is led by Kimberly Medina Vasquez.
Figueroa and Media each used the services of José David Soler of Soler Law Office in Coamo, Puerto Rico.
