Starting Monday (12/16), the Lotus Communications radio stations serving the Pacific Northwest’s biggest market will have a new leader. And, he brings over 20 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and media broadcasting.
Joining the Kalmenson family’s privately held radio broadcasting company is Andre Riley.
He was singled out for his “dynamic leadership style” — one that aligns with Lotus/Seattle’s “commitment to growth, collaboration, and community service.”
Specifically, Riley will oversee KNWN-AM & FM, the all-News simulcast formerly branded as KOMO under prior ownership; KPLZ-FM “Hank FM,” today a Country station; and Talk KVI-AM.
Andre’s career highlights include serving as VP/GM for the University of Washington Athletic Department under WME/IMG College, where he managed corporate partnerships and sponsorship negotiations between 2008 and 2016. From 2003-2008, he was General Sales Manager of KTTH-AM, KIRO-AM and KBSG-FM in Seattle.
From 1995-2003, he worked at the three stations he’s now been charged with overseeing, then-owned by Fisher Broadcasting. Before that, he was an Account Executive for KIRO-AM, and Classical KING-FM.
Since 2018, Riley has been out of the broadcast media industry, serving as a licensed real estate professional.
“Andre’s deep local ties and early career experience at Fisher Broadcasting make his return to Seattle even more meaningful,” Lotus executive Jim Kalmenson says.
Additionally, Riley is a former co-captain of the University of Washington football team.
