She has been in radio management for 42 years and today serves as General Manager of Lotus Communications’ Tucson properties. At the end of 2025, she’ll be retiring. Her successor and a new management team will be unveiled Monday.

For now, Lotus is focusing on the achievements of Debbie Wagner.

She joined Arizona Lotus Corporation, the subsidiary that directly manages the company’s properties in Tucson, in March 2021. Her previous experience includes roles as Market President of iHeartMedia’s Tucson properties, and as President/Market Manager of the San Diego cluster of stations owned by iHeartMedia. She traveled west on I-8 for the role after serving as VP/Market Manager in Tucson for iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Media + Entertainment.

Wagner has also been VP/Market Manager for the Clear Channel properties in Springfield, Ma.

“Debbie was a magnificent leader who people, clients, and employees rallied around,” said Jim Kalmenson, Chief Operating Officer at Lotus Communications. “She helped groom the next generation of leadership, allowing us to continue our long-standing preference of promoting from within.”

Wagner commented, “After 42 unforgettable years in radio management, I’m retiring with immense gratitude to Lotus Media and to the many teams, stations, clients, on-air talent, listeners, and community partners who made this journey so rewarding.”
