Long-Awaited Filing Reflecting LPTV Sale Deal Arrives At FCC

An assignment agreement was signed and finalized on Halloween 2024. But did the parties get spooked about submitting it to the FCC for its regulatory approval? While that’s likely not the case, what is known is that a LMS filing finally transpired on July 6. Now the Commission can give its nod to a transfer of control of an FM translator serving a small Georgia municipality.

The facility is W232BD at 94.3 MHz in Blairsville, Ga., a 10-watt mini-FM serving a community bisected by U.S. 19 and U.S. 76, just south of the North Carolina border.

The seller is Blairsville Radio Inc., and this facility is poised to be transferred to Trokillias LLC of St. Petersburg, Fla., for no cash consideration.

The buyer’s group is led by Troy Galinski.

His legal counsel is The Law Office of Dan J. Alpert.
