A major tug of war is shaping up between broadcasters in favor of deregulation and those fighting it, with the NAB and Republican FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly fueling a dramatic loosening of lower ownership caps. Entercom is in this camp, with comments made during the company’s Q2 earnings call made in response to an analysts’ inquiry.
But, the opposition is building, pitting NAB against NABOB, and Entercom against not only iHeartMedia but now Urban One.
