Matthew W. Lightner in recent years has been an acquisitor of broadcast radio stations across the Keystone State. The deals he’s struck include AMs and FMs serving Altoona; WPHB-AM 1260 in Phillipsburg, Pa.; and a March 2023 asset trade with Jim Loftus.
Now, Lightner is agreeing to purchase an AM with an FM translator serving Johnstown, Pa.
Through his Lightner Communications, the Engineering Consultant and the Chairman of the PA Emergency Alert System is agreeing to purchase WCRO-AM and W275CV in Johnstown, from Greater Johnstown School District.
A $16,000 purchase price has been agreed upon.
Lightner began running the properties on June 1 via a Time Brokerage Agreement.
