Leslie Stimson Named Editor-in-Chief

LeslieStimsonRBR+TVBR is pleased to announce that Leslie Stimson has been named Editor in Chief of the publication, effective immediately.


“Leslie has an impeccable reputation for reporting on radio and television and we’re honored to have her join our team,” according to B. Eric Rhoads, Publisher of RBR+TVBR.

Leslie brings over 35 years of reporting experience to the position, with 20 of those years spent at radio trade publications. Most recently, Leslie was News Editor/Washington Bureau Chief at Radio World website and newspaper. She initiated beat coverage, monitored trends and reported daily on technology and business issues that affect radio before the FCC and Congress as well as new radio technologies and consumer electronics including the connected car, HD Radio and others. She also covered these issues for the NAB convention daily newspapers.

Previously, Leslie was Senior Editor/Washington Bureau Chief for Radio Business Report, where she expanded its FCC and Capitol Hill coverage, including on-site reporting on the 1996 Telecommunications Act. Prior to RBR, she was Managing Editor, Writer for the National Association of Broadcasters weekly member newsletter “RadioWeek.”

She has been quoted about digital radio in “USA Today,” and been a guest on radio shows devoted to digital radio for ABC Radio, Voice of America and WAMU(FM), Washington’s “Public Interest,” syndicated nationally by NPR, as well as a speaker for the Federal Communications Bar Association.

Leslie began her news career in radio, including anchoring and reporting stints with WAMU(FM), Washington, Voice of America, the Maryland News Network and WYRE(AM), Annapolis, Md.
