Lenz Caps Career Ascent With iHeartMedia/Milwaukee Promotion

The Senior VP of Sales for the group of station in Milwaukee-Racine owned by the nation’s largest radio broadcasting company has been promoted to Market President. He’ll report to iHeartMedia Division President Nick Gnau.


Earning the elevation at the stations comprised of News/Talk leader WISN-AM, Classic Hits WRIT-FM “95.7 Big FM,” Country WMIL-FM, R&B WKKV-FM, and Sports siblings WRNW-FM “97.3 The Game” and WOKY-AM “FOX Sports 920” is Dan Lenz.

As Market President, Lenz will be responsible for all operations in the market from sales to programming. He has been with iHeartMedia since 2017.

Gnau commented, “Over the past two years, Dan has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and a deep understanding of the market, earning him this well-deserved promotion to Market President. His leadership as the sales lead has been instrumental to our success, and we are confident that both our team and partners will benefit even more from his expanded role.”

Lenz began his career in media sales 35 years ago at Saga Communications, selling local advertising for Classic Rock WKLH-FM in Milwaukee. He exited in October 2002 for a role at Sinclair Broadcast Group’s two Milwaukee TV stations, and in June 2004 joined Journal Broadcast Group as an Account Executive for its WKTI-FM and WTMJ-AM, stations today that are the foundation of Good Karma Brands’ media assets.

After nearly 8 years owning an employment search firm, Lenz returned to radio in February 2018 by joining iHeartMedia for an outside sales role.
