Many people across the radio broadcasting industry are familiar with George Laughlin for his role as Chief Executive Officer of radio programming syndication company YEA Networks. However, Laughlin is also the owner of Dallas-based GAP Broadcasting, which is agreeing to part ways with an FM translator in the Bayou State.

With Anthony Lepore of Radiotvlaw Associates serving as his legal counsel, GAP is selling K279CU at 103.7 MHz in Thibodaux, La., to Power 102.1 FM LLC.

A $70,000 sale price has been agreed to, with the buyer making a $10,000 deposit to Laughlin.

There is no broker or finder in this transaction, which will give Gilberto Anthony Cerrato ownership of an FM signal serving an area due southwest of New Orleans.

The plan is to simulcast Cerrato’s WUBR-AM 910 in Baton Rouge.
