Radio-DisneySalem intends to buy the last five Radio Disney stations.

The latest transaction brings to 10 the number of stations that Salem will have purchased from Disney when closed.

Disney announced last August it intended to spin all but one (for a total of 23) of its radio stations; it retained flagship KDIS(AM), Los Angeles to originate programing for the Radio Disney brand.

At the time, executives said Disney would get more involved in digital programming as consumer tastes have changed.

The latest sale of five AMs includes WWMI, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla., WSDZ, St. Louis, KDZR, Portland, Ore., KDIZ, Minneapolis and KDDZ, Denver.

The combined price for all five transactions is roughly $2.2 million, according to paperwork filed at the FCC.
