He’s the Chairman of Laramie Jubilee Days, staged each July in the Wyoming city as “a mix of Wild West history, wholesome family fun, and vibrant nightlife.” In the radio industry, he’s known for his nearly 15 years as the owner of Wolf Creek Radio Broadcasting.

Now, Shawn Faxon is adding to his roster of broadcast radio stations.

Actually, Faxon agreed to the deal on July 2. Only now has the asset purchase agreement been submitted to the FCC for regulatory approval.

The deal sees Wolf Creek agree to acquire KHAT-AM and K244FN & KRQU-FM in Laramie from Appaloosa Broadcasting Co. and KIMX-FM in Centennial, Wyo., from White Park Broadcasting, entities liked to Jacob Silberberg.

With David Oxenford of Wilkinson Barker Knauer serving as Faxon’s legal counsel and Barry Friedman of Thompson Hine LLP representing the seller, Faxon agreed to a $375,000 purchase price. A $35,000 deposit has been delivered to the seller.

At closing, $265,000 will be paid in cash via wire transfer. The remaining $75,000 will be paid in 24 monthly installments of $3,125.
