Lanzano Rises To Nexstar National Ad Sales President

There is a new President of National Advertising Sales at Nexstar Media Group, and the role is going to an individual who joined the company in February 2024 as SVP of national ad sales.


The promotion is being earned by Dan Lanzano, and he’ll now be responsible for leading all aspects of Nexstar’s national advertising efforts, including the sales teams representing network assets across CW Sports, CW Entertainment, and CW Digital; NewsNation and NewsNationNow.com; Nexstar multicast network Antenna TV, and Rewind TV; and the company’s political and national spot advertising.

Lanzano will also oversee Nexstar’s research operations, its national network monetization,
and paid and direct response advertising departments.

He will be based in Nexstar’s New York offices and reports to Nexstar President/Chief Operating Officer Michael Biard. He said, “This is a well-deserved promotion. Dan has had a terrific impact on our national sales efforts since joining Nexstar in early 2024. He is a creative thinker and a dynamic leader, adept at recruiting, building, and motivating enthusiastic sales teams that are not content with the status quo. He is well respected across the media industry for his understanding of audiences regardless of platform, and he can customize the right approach to meet the needs of our partners. I am looking forward to working with him as he assumes this new role and continues to lead the
national sales organization.”

Before joining Nexstar, Lanzano spent six years as VP of Advertising Sales for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). In that capacity he was responsible for the company’s monetization efforts across its entire portfolio of media properties, including entertainment, lifestyle, sports, news, and MAX Streaming/Digital assets. Before that, he held several advertising sales positions of increasing responsibility at Turner/Warner Media.
