Landover 2 Spins An Unbuilt LPTV Property

Its mission was simple: To re-purpose 600 MHz and other spectrum and rapidly deploy a world-class 5G network in the United States.

This could explain why the individual behind Landover Wireless, a 30-year veteran of the global wireless telecommunications industry, had an interest in low-power TV stations.

That venture, however, was never fully realized. Earlier this year, it drafted two transactions selling unbuilt LPTVs to Jeff Winemiller. Now, it is spinning an unbuilt LPTV property in Idaho.

Landover 2, the LLC created by Laurence Zimmerman for the LPTVs he purchased, is selling K29KY-D in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Sawtooth Mountains Broadcast & Wireless Corp.

The transaction is valued at $15,000.

A portion of that purchase price will be going to Sawtooth’s broker of record, Sterling BCG.

Sawtooth is an entity led by Todd Achilles.

If that name rings a bell, it is because of his association with Edge Spectrum.

Furthermore, Achilles is President/CEO of Evoca, which is building out a next-generation TV service in Idaho’s largest market, Boise.

The purchase suggests Evoca has its eyes on statewide service; Blackfoot is located along Interstate 15 and is between Pocotello and Idaho Falls. It is home to the Idaho Potato Museum.
