KVFG's new format is Classic Hits

The station is stunting right now with Christmas music (as of 11/15), but CBS Radio’s ESPN affiliate, High Desert Sports Radio 103.1 in Victorville, CA (Victor Valley) will launch as “The Route” at 103.1 on 12/26. ESPN has since moved to CBS Radio’s KRAK 910 AM Hesperia, CA in that market.

“The Route” will be a radio station dedicated to the High Desert’s affinity for “The Mother Road”, Route 66.  The station’s music will bring listeners back to a time before I-15 was the way to Las Vegas.  Whether it’s the Beach Boys from the 60’s, the Eagles from the 70’s or Van Halen from the 80’s, “The Route” will lead to all the great music that came out of SoCal and beyond.

The day starts at 6:00AM as Steve Elliott moves his “Steverino in the Morning” program to its new home at 103.1-FM.  Steve has been on the radio in the Victor Valley for over 25 years.  Other personalities include JJ McKay, Brad Pierce, Peter McLaine, Mike Shaw and Bruce Chandler.
