Ziv shared the news of his promotion on social media and was first reported by RBR+TVBR on October 30. He rises from Sr. VP of Strategy and Finance for the division, a role he has held since 2023. In it, he oversaw planning and P&L across ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney’s eight-owned television stations presently under a FCC early license renewal proceeding for alleged “invidious forms of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” actions, Disney’s kids and family networks, and Freeform.
Ziv joined Disney in January 2017 at Freeform, formerly ABC Family, as VP of Strategy, Finance, and Business Development. In April 2019, he moved to ABC Entertainment as VP of Strategy, Finance, and Business Planning, where his work included the network’s P&L, long-range planning, and content deal strategy. In 2023, he moved up to the division level.
Before Disney, Ziv spent four years at EPIX, rising to Sr. VP of Business Operations, Development and Strategy, with a focus on distribution deals. He started his career as a business development director at Madwood Studios and was an advisory associate in media and entertainment at Ernst & Young.
