FCCThe FCC rescinded a $6,000 fine against KDOC(TV), Anaheim, Calif.

The penalty was originally levied for not filing children’s TV programming reports for five quarters on time.

However Ellis Communications provided proof that some of the reports were filed on time. Ellis also told the agency that the elapsed time between when it filed one report and when it was fined was over five years.

In the interim, the personnel handling the programming files has changed and KDOC has put in place additional procedures to prevent late filings, according to Ellis.

All of that convinced the Video Division to rescind the fine and admonish Ellis instead for failing to report its late-filed children’s television programming reports in its license renewal application.
