There is a Dallas-based radio network offering “encouraging music, and words of hope” to listeners across a big swath of North Texas and parts of Oklahoma.
Now, this network is poised to perhaps shrink by a second station, as an ownership change is in play for a Class C1 100kw FM that covers both Wichita Falls, Tex., and Lawton, Okla.
Dallas-based KCBI-FM 90.9 has developed a wide reputation as one of the market’s leading destinations for Christian Contemporary Music.
It is operated by First Dallas Media, which in June 2018 agreed to sell KCRN-AM & FM and translator K232FG in San Angelo, Tex. for $205,000.
Now, First Dallas is the seller in another transaction that sees KCBK-FM 91.5, licensed to Frederick, Okla., transferred to South Central Oklahoma Christian Broadcasting in a deal valued at $250,000.
A 10% escrow deposit has been made to Media Services Group, the escrow agent in this transaction.
Bill Whitley of MSG served as the broker in this transaction, representing First Dallas Media. This was the same situation in the San Angelo deal.
The buyer is also the owner of three other Oklahoma stations and an FM translator in Paris, Tex.
Aside from KCBI, First Dallas Media’s holdings are reduced to KCBN-FM 107.7 in Hico, Tex., a Class A serving a largely rural area west of Waco.
