Among All “JKL” Telecasts, “JKL’s” Fifth Post-Oscar Special Attracts the Show’s 3rd Largest Audience Overall, Behind Only its Two Post-Super Bowl Airings
“Jimmy Kimmel Live – After the Academy Awards” (12:44-1:35 a.m.) On its fifth post-Oscar telecast, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards” was up over the prior year’s telecast for the second year in a row, increasing by 9% in Total Viewers (4.7 million vs. 4.3 million). The late-night program drew its most-watched post-Oscar broadcast ever. Host Jimmy Kimmel welcomed two-time Academy Award®-nominated Robert Downey Jr. with a musical performance by Grammy Award® winner Keith Urban.
Among all “Jimmy Kimmel Live” telecasts, Sunday’s post-Oscar show drew the show’s largest audience in 4 years – since 2/5/06. In fact, it was “JKL’s” third-largest audience overall, behind only its two post-Super Bowl telecasts (on 1/26/03 and 2/5/06).
