She’s known across the New York Tri-State area’s broadcast journalism community for her more than 16 years of experience at WCBS-2. Now, she has been asked to lead and manage the Creative Services team at crosstown WNBC-4.

Taking the post of Director of Creative Services at the NBC Owned Stations property in the Big Apple is Jennifer Hancox.

She’ll oversee the day-to-day functions and creative execution for the department and closely collaborate with co-owned Telemundo-aligned WNJU-47, as well as with NBCUniversal Local, NBC network and NBC syndicators.

“Jen Hancox is a dynamic leader who has created and led successful promotional campaigns for more than two decades – all in the nation’s largest and most prestigious media market,” said Gina Oliva-Pinto, Vice President of Creative Services and Marketing for WNBC and WNJU. “She is also a terrific manager who has deftly navigated our industry’s multi-platform evolution with a very human touch. I know that Jen will be an amazing leader for our Creative Services team and a valued partner for our Telemundo 47 family.”

Hancox joined WCBS-2 in 2008 and was most recently its Director of Multi-Platform Promotion – Creative Services. Before that, Hancox held production roles with WNYW-5 and WWOR-9 in the New York market.

Hancox commented, “WNBC has long been one of the most iconic brands in all of television. It is also a trusted platform for millions, delivering breaking news, accurate weather forecasts and local community information around the clock. I am incredibly honored to join the WNBC Creative Services team and cannot wait to get to work.”
