Sports Radio and Gow Broadcasting, LLC, and will oversee business growth and partnerships, in addition to working with Management to advance programming strategy, multi-platform marketing and promotional opportunities, and affiliate and talent relations. Also joining the network is Amanda Deutchman in the new position of Director, Marketing and Business Development.

“We are very excited to welcome Jeffrey to the team,” said David Gow, CEO of Yahoo! Sports Radio. “His revolutionary ideas, combined with his deep-seated history in both network and local radio, as well as his broad experience in management, will provide unmatched opportunities for our affiliate and advertising partners to thrive.”

Said Schwartz: “I look forward to working with the Yahoo! Sports Radio team and the quality sports product they have developed to enhance the brand, as well as opportunities for our partners. Yahoo! Sports, one of the top sports sites in the world, will be a great asset to our strategic plans.”

A Programming and Sales veteran, Schwartz has been a force in the radio business for over 40 years. He was previously the Manager of Sales and Promotion at WLUP (“The Loop”), Director of Operations at WSCR (“The Score”), and Director of Operations at WMVP (“ESPN 1000”) – all three, powerhouse stations in the Chicago area. In addition to founding and leading two successful media consulting firms during his career, Schwartz joined FOX Sports Radio as a consultant in July, 2010, and took a full-time role at the network in 2011. With his creative expertise and success in increasing revenue dramatically, Schwartz was promoted to Vice President, Sports Sales with FOX Sports Radio and Premiere Networks in 2013.

Deutchman will report directly to Schwartz and be responsible for the development of new multi-platform business and partnership opportunities, as well as marketing and public relations. Joining Premiere Networks in 2010, Deutchman began her radio career working in Affiliate Relations, later joining Premiere Networks’ FOX Sports Radio Network, working as Marketing and Communications Manager to elevate the brand and collaborate on opportunities to increase revenue.
