Jay Leno has to reinvent himself. For those that are following Jay here is a look at his current ratings:


Friday, 01/15/10 – From 10-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged a 1.4/4 in adults 18-49, a 1.8/5 in adults 25-54 and 5.4 million viewers overall, ranking #2 in the hour among the major networks in adults 18-49 (tie), adults 25-54 (tie), total viewers, men 18-49 and men 25-54.  “The Jay Leno Show” finished #1 among the major networks in the hour among men 18-34.  Competition in the time period included CBS’s “Numb3rs” and ABC’s “20/20.” 
“Jay Leno” matched its top Friday rating in 18-49 in 16 weeks (since September 25).
Comparisons with Jay Leno’s 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” are: in adults 18-49, 1.4 vs. 1.4; adults 25-54, 1.8 vs. 1.8; and total viewers, 5.4 million vs. 5.1 million.  Comparisons with NBC’s Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports average over the 52 weeks prior to Jay’s debut are: in adults 18-49, 1.4 vs. 2.2; adults 25-54, 1.8 vs. 2.7; and total viewers, 5.4 million vs. 6.9 million.

Monday, 01/18/10
From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged a 1.3/3 in adults 18-49, a 1.5/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.6 million viewers overall.  The time-period competition included CBS’s “CSI: Miami” and the ABC’s “Castle.” 

Comparisons with Jay Leno’s 2008-09 averages at 11:35 p.m. ET on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” are: in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.4), adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.8) and total viewers (4.6 million vs. 5.1 million).  Comparisons with NBC’s Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports averages over the 52 weeks prior to Jay’s debut are: in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 2.2), adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 2.7) and total viewers (4.6 million vs. 6.9 million).

Tuesday 01/19/10
From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged a 2.0/6 in adults 18-49; a 2.4/6 in adults 25-54 and 6.3 million viewers overall.  Last night’s time-period competition included CBS’s “The Good Wife” encore and ABC’s “The Forgotten” rebroadcast.  Jay scored his second-highest Tuesday 18-49 rating since December 8.

“The Jay Leno Show” is currently tied for the #1 rating in the hour among the major networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright in in men 18-34 and adults, men and women 18-34.  “Jay Leno” doubled ABC’s “Forgotten” encore in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, women 18-34 and all key adult-male demos (pending updates).

WEDNESDAY 1/20/10
From 10-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged a 1.2 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49; a 1.6/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.6 million viewers overall.  Last night’s time-period competition included CBS’s “CSI: NY” and ABC’s “Ugly Betty.”  In the time period, “Jay Leno” is #2 among the major networks in total viewers and all key adult-male categories, pending updates.

Comparisons to Jay Leno’s 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” are: in adults 18-49, 1.2 vs. 1.4; adults 25-54, 1.6 vs. 1.8; and total viewers, 4.6 million vs. 5.1 million.

From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, “The Jay Leno Show” averaged of a 1.4/4 in adults 18-49, a 1.6/4 in adults 25-54 and 4.5 million viewers overall.  Last night’s competition in the time slot included CBS’s “The Mentalist” and ABC’s “Private Practice.”  Week-to-week, “Jay Leno” is up 8% in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.3).

Comparisons with Jay Leno’s 2008-09 average at 11:35 p.m. ET on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” are: in adults 18-49, 1.4 vs. 1.4; in adults 25-54, 1.6 vs. 1.8; and in total viewers, 4.5 million vs. 5.1 million.  Comparisons with NBC’s Monday-through-Friday 10-11 p.m. ET non-sports averages over the 52 weeks prior to the “Jay Leno” debut are: in adults 18-49, 1.4 vs. 2.2; in adults 25-54, 1.6 vs. 2.7; and in total viewers, 4.5 million vs. 6.9 million.
