Circle City Broadcasting and Metro Video Productions have signed an agreement that effectively expands the “Indiana News Network,” based at the DuJuan McCoy-owned TV stations serving Indianapolis, to another Hoosier State market.

The arrangement effectively allows WISH-TV’s News 8 to be simulcast in the Fort Wayne market, as WLMO-LD will now join the Indiana News Network.
“This is a continuation of my goal to bring the quality and legacy of WISH-TV’s News 8 from the capital city of Indianapolis to all television markets in the state of Indiana,” said McCoy, Owner/President/CEO Circle City Broadcasting. “There are still an estimated 405,000 Hoosiers that currently receive their local news from non-Indiana television stations including 16 counties in Southeast Indiana (Cincinnati and Louisville DMAs), and we are working toward closing that gap soon.”
Gregory Phipps, President of Metro Video Productions, added, “We’re very excited to partner with WISH-TV to bring the legacy news programming of News 8 to our viewers in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. WISH-TV is known for providing first-class live and original news content and we look forward to bringing that excellence to Northeast Indiana.”
With the addition of WLMO, WISH-TV’s News 8 will expand its reach to include more than 12.2 million viewers in the Indianapolis (DMA 25), Chicago (DMA 3), South Bend/Elkhart (DMA 99), and Fort Wayne (DMA 111) markets.
And, the addition comes ahead of Circle City’s planned purchase of low-power TV facilities W31ET-D, W28EY-D and WEDX-LD in Fort Wayne, announced in March.
