bob-pittman-dashiHeartMedia Chair/CEO Bob Pittman will keynote this year’s DASH Conference.

DASH will be held Nov. 4-5 in Detroit.

Pittman leads America’s largest broadcast radio company and its mobile and automotive strategies through the iHeartRadio digital service. Pittman has seen the emergence of new consumer media platforms and industries, and how successful businesses can navigate these changes; he was the creator of MTV in the 80s and president of America Online in the 90s.

Pittman was also an investor in several new and established traditional media, entertainment and service companies, such as Daily Candy and Facebook.

iHeartRadio’s focus on the automotive industry has paid off; in addition to its focus on AM/FM radio in the car, the iHeartRadio app is available in the connected car dashboards of most major automotive companies.

This is the third year for the DASH Conference. When launched, “our mission was to bring together leaders from broadcasting and automotive at the highest levels,” said Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs comments. He characterizes Pittman as “the most powerful person in radio, and his appearance at DASH underscores the importance of radio across every platform, from AM/FM broadcast radio in the dash to the ‘connected car’ — as well as this conference.”

Eric Rhoads, Chairman/Publisher of Streamline Publications, which owns RBR+TVBR, added, “Bob Pittman is not only the great evangelist of radio, but he is also leading the radio industry into the future. We are honored to have him present his compelling and thought provoking vision to DASH attendees.”

DASH takes place at the Westin Hotel in the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Find the agenda and registration information here.
