Ideastream Public Media, home to Northeast Ohio’s public broadcasting facilities, has ordered four Nautel transmitters for its three full-power radio stations and an FM translator.
The transmitters, which were ordered through Warmus and Associates, include two GV2-30ND units, a GV2 3.5, and a VS1. Chuck Poulton, Senior Director of Technology for Ideastream, says these purchases will complement prior Nautel purchases.
“We like the overall serviceability and support from Nautel, plus the fact that they support their products for the long haul,” he said.
Getting the new transmitters are Class B WKSU-FM 89.7 in Kent, Ohio; Classical WCLV-FM 90.3 in Cleveland, a Class B FM; WKRW-FM 89.3 in Wooster, Ohio, a Class A serving a rural area west of Canton; and FM translator W239AZ at 95.7 MHz in Ashland, Ohio.
