IBA ‘In Focus’ Conference Joins ‘Radio Masters’ in Miami

DORAL, FLA. —The Independent Broadcasters Association (IBA) has confirmed that it will stage its its first members-only “In-Focus” Conference on September 21 at the Intercontinental at Doral in Miami. The one-day IBA event is co-located with the Radio Masters Sales Summit, scheduled for September 22-23 and presented by Streamline Publishing and the Center for Sales Strategy.


The members-only conference “is designed to address the needs of owners, managers, and Sales Managers and present real-world, immediately implemental solutions,” the organization led by President and Executive Director Ron Stone of Adams Media Group shares.

“We’ve assembled leaders in digital, sales, broadcast law, and more to help IBA members advance their business and increase their revenue across platforms,” Stone said.

Speakers at the IBA event include radio sales veteran Michael Doyle and Kensington Digital Media owner Leann Didier. 

A Marketron presentation is also on the schedule, as is a legal panel featuring veteran telecommunications attorney Gregg Skall.

The IBA Members-Only Focus Conference will concentrate primarily on three points:

  1. How to refocus on and substantially grow traditional revenue
  2. How to start a digital division, and a roadmap on how to develop it into a fully functioning, revenue-generating unit
  3. How to recruit stronger sales-focused employees

The IBA Members Only “In-Focus” Conference will conclude with a complimentary dinner for members and speakers the evening of September 21.

IBA members will have the option of attending the Radio Masters Sales Summit at a significantly reduced special IBA members-only package price. In addition, specially priced hotel rooms are available for attendees.
