It’s a picturesque portion of the American Southwest near such favorite historic sites as Mesa Verde National Park and Durango, Colo. The Four Corners Region has long relied on broadcast signals from that Colorado city and Farmington, N. Mex., and among the radio stations in these cities are nine properties.

Pending FCC approval, they’ll be former stations owned by American General Media.

As first reported in late April by Streamline Publishing’s Radio Ink, Hutton Broadcasting has added to its flagship stations in Santa Fe, N. Mex., by adding the following properties:

  • Country KISZ-FM 97.9, News/Talk KENN-AM 1390, Rock KRWN-FM 92.5, and AC KPRT-FM 107.9 in Farmington, N. Mex.
  • CHR KKDG-FM 99.7, News/Talk KDGO-AM 1240, and AC KPTE-FM 92.9 in Durango, Colo.
  • AC KRTZ-FM 98.7 and News/Talk KVFC-AM 740 in Cortez, Colo., due west of Durango.

“This is an exciting day for us,” said Hutton Broadcasting CEO Scott Hutton. “We continue to grow our footprint in New Mexico and now are dipping our toes into Colorado. I focus myself and my executive team on looking forward by prioritizing the future of our employees, our advertisers, and our communities.”

An asset purchase agreement containing the purchase price and other information pertaining to the deal’s structure was posted to the FCC’s LMS on May 5. It shows the purchase price at $2.19 million.
