There’s a change in the programming leadership for the six radio brands serving Philadelphia owned by iHeartMedia, as Derrick Corbett shifts to the role of VP of Programming and a focus solely on Adult R&B WDAS-FM and Hip-Hop WUSL “Power 99.”
This results from the naming of Jeff Hurley as Senior VP of Programming, overseeing those properties in addition to WRFF “ALT 104.5,” WIOQ “Q102,” WUMR “Rumba 106.1,” and WDAS-AM “Fox Sports The Gambler.”
Hurley will add the programming operations responsibilities for the Philadelphia stations while continuing to serve as Executive VP of Programming for iHeartMedia station groups in Upstate New York, Mid-Atlantic and New England Areas. He reports to iHeartMedia Executive VP of Programming Thea Mitchem.
“Jeff is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our brands, our audiences and the power of strong programming,” she said. “His ability to strategically elevate stations while developing great teams makes him the right choice to lead programming in Philadelphia, and I’m confident he’ll continue to drive success in this important market.”
Hurley added, “I’m excited to step into the role of Senior Vice President of Programming and guide these legendary stations that have meant so much to the community for decades. It’s an honor to be part of their future. Growing up in Pennsylvania, this feels like a dream come true in the best possible way. I’m looking forward to working closely with Derrick Corbett and the talented staff across all of these stations to continue growing in 2026 and beyond.”
