DeLier Group President Mike DeLier ([email protected]) is fired up over the latest Trump campaign developments in this commentary for RBR+TVBR.
This is an open letter to the 16 conservative women reporters who wrote a letter, signed some sort of petition, whatever, asking for Trump to quit, fire his campaign manager Lewandowski, whatever, blah, blah, blah.
My question to all of you is how does it feel to be used? I’m serious. Most of us do not like to be used, manipulated, coerced, whatever. That being the case here let me ask you this. Which one of you was the first to start calling around seeking the cover of having those of like mind to support you?
I’m serious. I would really like to know. You can answer right here, today. You don’t seem particularly smart, nor professional to me. How are you going to fairly cover the campaign going forward?
I realize we are from different generations, and that I am sure has a lot to do with your outlook. I just can’t imagine Barbara Walters, Martha Gelhorn, Marlene Sanders, and many others even getting upset about something like this. If they did they would have most likely punched the guy in the mouth. Oh I’m sorry. I forgot. We live in a politically correct society now. My apologies.
What am I thinking? Before political correctness there were things to be concerned about like morality, ethics, proprietary. Stuff like that. Another question comes to mind. Where is your petition slamming a President who has spent over $74,000.000.00 of taxpayers money on travel? His wife flies to the same locales on a 757 a few hours later. I guess this is acceptable to you. One would think that that money might be better spent giving it to 1,000 or more poor
Black families living in rural Mississippi.
Do you find the actions of Black Lives Matter people to be acceptable and the politicians that support them? Or the singers that yell ‘kill the cops’ yet ask for police protection before and after they hum a few bars for a few million bucks?
Does Lewandowski disturb you more than the White House censoring French President Hollande’s remarks on Islamist terrorism last week? The 16 of you have discredited yourselves as serious journalists all for the sake of political correctness. Wow!
