For 15 years he’s been a Program Director and morning host for the Christian Contemporary Music (CCM)-focused SOS Radio Network, a role that led him to be selected by Radio Ink as one of “Radio’s 10 Best Program Directors.”
As of January 9, he’ll be bringing his talents to Hope Media Group (HMG).
Joining the owner of KSBJ and WayFM, in addition to Spanish-language Christian-themed “Vida Unica” is Scott Herrold. He’ll serve as Chief of Programming, effective Monday, and succeeds the exiting Ron Harrell.
Herrold reports to veteran radio industry figure Tim Dukes, today the Chief Operating Officer for Hope Media Group. “A heart for ministry, creative community involvement, and stellar Nielsen results in Vegas and beyond made Scott a finalist for this position before we even called him,” Dukes said.
In the October 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings report for Las Vegas, KSOS-FM earned a 3.2 share of all listening.
Dukes added that Herrold will lead HMG’s radio programmers: Randy Fox of KSBJ, Steve Shore of WayFM, and Sadiel Castro of Vida Unida.
The Creative Audio Team will be led by Sterling Tarrant.
Herrold’s resume includes serving as a tech consultant for Donny Osmond’s syndicated radio program between 2010-2012. He’s also worked at such stations as “106.9 K-Hits” in Tulsa and from 1997-2003 was a part of the air staff at WDVD-FM in Detroit. “When I heard about WayFM and Hope Media Group joining forces, I thought, WOW! That’s the kind of ministry I’d like to be a part of someday,” Herrold said. “Two kingdom-minded ministries with a heart to impact culture in a fresh way. Joe Paulo and Tim Dukes are building the dream team at Hope Media Group, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”
