Hispanic Radio Conference Moved To October

The Hispanic Radio Conference, originally scheduled for March 25-26 at the Intercontinental at Doral Miami, has been shifted to mid-October due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We decided this was the most prudent course of action considering the severity of the current situation and out of concern for our attendees, sponsors, and staff,” Radio + Television Business Report EVP/Publisher Deborah Parenti said.

The new dates of the 11th Hispanic Radio Conference are October 15-16.

The location has not changed, with the convenient hotel minutes from Miami International Airport, corporate offices for Univision and NBCUniversal Hispanic Enterprises, and some of the most important multicultural advertising shops.

“We look forward to seeing you in October and will continue to provide updates about the agenda, speakers, and general conference news over the coming months,” Parenti said.

For those who have already booked a hotel room at the Intercontinental at Doral Miami, reservations have already been moved to the new dates, reflecting the same date flow of one’s original reservation.

“In other words, if you booked two nights, 3/25-3/26, your reservation is now 10/15-10/16,” Parenti said. “You don’t have to do anything to make that change – it’s all been handled.”

The Hispanic Radio Conference was established in 2007 as a unifying forum for Hispanic radio broadcasters. As such, it is the only conference dedicated solely to Hispanic radio and includes the annual presentation of the Medallas de Cortez awards, which honors excellence among Hispanic broadcast professionals. The awards will now be presented in October as part of the conference.
