Since joining the radio industry in September 1992, she’s been associated with some of Southern California’s most successful Hispanic-targeted radio stations. And, she came from a circus operation — literally.
Now, this accomplished broadcast sales executive has joined iHeartMedia to serve as a Senior Account Executive at its Los Angeles radio station group.
Now on board at iHeart’s KIIS-FM, KOST-FM, KBIG-FM “MYfm,” KFI-AM, KRRL-FM “Real 92.3,” KYSR “ALT 98.7,” KLAC-AM 570 and KEIB-AM 1150 “The Patriot,” is Cindy Melgar.
Melgar was a Sr. AE at Meruelo Media‘s radio and TV properties serving Los Angeles, including KLOS-FM, KLLI-FM “Cali 93.9,” KDAY-FM, KPWR-FM “Power 106,” and KWHY-22. She spent eight years at the company, and joined Meruelo after two decades at the former LBI Media, now Estrella Media. There, she rose from a Sr. AE to LSM for the “Qué Buena” Regional Mexican brand and for KHJ-AM 930 when it was known as “La Ranchera.”
For nearly eight years before joining LBI, and its Liberman Broadcasting media assets, Melgar was National Director of Advertising and Promotions for Circus Vargas.
