High winds topple WSPA's tower


The winter storm has toppled a WSPA-TV (CBS) Spartanburg, SC mountaintop transmission tower. One of News Channel 7’s main towers collapsed due to ice and high winds, hitting the main back-up tower as it fell.  Both towers are on the ground and a repair crew is scheduled to evaluate the damage.  The signal can be viewed on Charter and DirecTV and digital channel 62.2. News Channel 7 at 11 and News Channel 7 at Noon. will be live streamed on WSPA.com.  The tower on Hogback Mountain, NC collapsed about 3 Sunday afternoon. No one was injured.
