‘HI’ Radio Hosts Ignite Protests Over New Hawaii Driver’s Licenses

HAIKU, MAUI, HAWAII — For those who reside in the 50th state in need of a new driver’s license or official state ID, getting to love its refreshed image could take some time. For the wake-up personalities at a Pacific Media Group Local Hits FM serving O’ahu and Upcountry Maui, the new ID design will never be acceptable.


And, thanks to their on-air banter bashing the new Hawaii IDs, Honolulu’s Mayor was forced to defend the change — even as 6,000 people signed a Change.org petition begging for a redo.
