It’s a media brokerage founded 40 years ago by Doyle Hadden that’s still very active today, thanks to VP Ryan Hadden and, now, a new broker who has joined the Space Coast-based firm.
Joining Hadden & Associates is Alex Duvall.
If that name sounds familiar, that is because he is the owner of Duvall Media Group, parent of WROD-AM 1340 and W283DS in Daytona Beach, branded as “Daytona’s Talk Radio” and can be visited on the web at www.daytonatalkradio.com.
Duvall acquired the properties in February 2023 for $350,000, with final payment on a Promissory Note scheduled in six months from today.
Class C WROD holds a Construction Permit to relocate to a tower further inland, with a change in its city of license to Port Orange, Fla. Meanwhile, the FM translator, which has already evolved in the two years Duvall has owned it, holds a Construction Permit allowing it to move from 104.5 MHz to 95.1 MHz, improving its coverage of Volusia County.
An Atlanta native, Duvall tells RBR+TVBR he’s held “a variety of jobs in different fields over the years” and before leaving Georgia for Central Florida “worked actively in the Film and TV industry.”
