Gray Television is following the lead of Nexstar Media Group by moving forward with the release of its third quarter 2023 financial results on the second Wednesday in November. Be sure to register today to Forecast 2024 on November 15 in New York. Gray Television President and co-CEO Pat LaPlatney will be in attendance, appearing on the Executive Super Session sponsored by WideOrbit. Don’t delay … register today!

Gray Television will host the conference call to discuss its operating results for the quarter ended September 30, 2023, on Wednesday, November 8. The call will begin at 11am  Eastern. What can holders of “GTN” expect to hear?

Six analysts track Gray Television, and the consensus estimate on Earnings Per Share comes in at -$0.35, due to very difficult year-over-year comps resulting from record 2022 political revenue.

Seven analysts have predicted Gray’s revenue for Q3, and that is anticipated to come in at $798.24 million, according to Yahoo! Finance.

Speaking on the company’s Q2 earnings call, Chief Legal and Development Officer Kevin Latek said Gray expects retransmission revenues “to decline somewhat between the second and third quarters as subscriber churn routinely increases when spring turns into summer.” CFO James Ryan added, “We continue to expect core local revenue to be up in the low single-digit range.”

Gray is in growth mode, and in the last month launched Peachtree Sports Network across Georgia; launched the 24/7 “Local News Live” across all of its stations; and promoted Hispanic media veteran Jason Hall to VP of Spanish Media Sales as it seeks to become a major owner of Telemundo affiliates.

Hall is scheduled to appear on the October 24 InFOCUS Podcast, presented by dot.FM, in an interview with RBR+TVBR Editor-in-Chief Adam R Jacobson.
