Gray Adds Two Class A TV Properties In North Georgia

A pair of digital low-power television stations licensed to Dalton, Ga., are being added to the Gray Media stable of broadcast properties, pending FCC approval of a transaction agreed to on Tuesday.


 

North Georgia Television News, Inc. has agreed to part ways with WDGA-CD and WDNN-CD in Dalton, which is just south of Chattanooga, Tenn., and along the busy Interstate 75 corridor.

Gray is paying $835,000 for the properties. Terms call for the company to pay 80% of the funds due at a First Closing. The remaining funds will be paid by Gray at the Second Closing.

Serving as the seller’s broker in this transaction is M.C. Alcamo & Co., Inc.

Signing off on the sale for North Georgia Television News is President Troy Hall.

North Georgia TelevisionA Local Programming and Marketing Agreement took effect December 3, allowing Gray to assume control of the properties ahead of an anticipated closing.

Serving as Gray’s legal counsel in this transaction is Joan Stewart of Wiley Law.

WDNN’s programming features locally produced talk and news shows in the morning, and classic syndicated sitcoms in the afternoon.
