Comments by Fed chief Ben Bernanke that unemployment may remain high for a while and that the economy still faces difficulties cash a dark cloud over Wall Street on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, however, managed to eek out a tiny one point rise to 10,390. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were lower. Most of the damage was in bank and tech stocks, so broadcasters were spared.
The RBR Radio Index was up 7.562, or 4.2%, to 189.209.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.570, or 0.5%, to 112.269.
