In an ex parte brief filed by the NAB on September 22 with the FCC, the NAB reiterated its concerns with a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would allow program origination on an FM booster — something essential for the commercialization of GeoBroadcast Solutions’ ZoneCasting technology.
While the NAB has been critical of the proposed rulemaking’s merits, the latest criticism from the association focused on what it believes are “credible and public accusations regarding the questionable business dealings” of GBS founder and CEO Chris Devine.
GBS has now offered a rebuttal of the NAB ex parte communication to the Commission.
