NORTHVILLE, MICH. — He’s served as Syncbak/VUit’s VP of Affiliate Relations and Content, focused on the OTT service bringing local newscasts to viewers across the U.S. Before that, he was VP/GM of the owner of “9&10 News” in Cadillac, Mich., Heritage Broadcasting.
As of today, this individual is now reporting to Sinclair Broadcast Group President of Broadcast and Chief Operating Officer Rob Weisbord.
Now serving as Vice President and General Manager of FOX affiliate WSMH-66 in Flint, Mich., is Kevin Dunaway.
In the role, Dunaway will also oversee WEYI-25, the Howard Stirk Holdings-owned NBC affiliate that enjoys a shared services agreement with Sinclair; and Cunningham Broadcasting-owned WBSF-46, the market’s home for The CW Network.
“We’re excited for Kevin to lead the team in Flint,” Weisbord said. “He has deep roots in Michigan and a strong track record of local station success.”
A lifelong Michigander, Dunaway commented, “Local media has been a large part of my career and I cannot wait to work with the stations and help them continue to grow and make a difference in our communities. Dunaway was the Vice President and a Board Member of the Michigan Association of Broadcasting and sat on the Board of Directors for the Cadillac Chamber of Commerce.
