For the last two years, she has served as SVP/GM of KCPQ “FOX 13” and sibling KZJO “JOEtv” in Seattle. Now, the 21-year FOX Television Stations leader who has been overseeing the company’s two properties in the Pacific Northwest’s biggest market is heading to the Windy City.
Sheila Oliver has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of the FOX-owned duopoly in Chicago: WFLD “FOX 32” and WPWR “My50.”
She’ll be responsible for overseeing the stations’ business and operations. Oliver assumes this position immediately, reporting directly to FOX Television Stations CEO Jack Abernethy.
He said, “Sheila is a FOX Television Stations veteran of both news and sales who leads with her Midwestern charm so she is the perfect choice to elevate FOX Chicago to the next level.”
Oliver from 2015-2021 was Senior Vice President and General Manager of KMSP “FOX 9” and WFTC-TV “FOX 9+” in Minneapolis, rising from VP/Sales, a role she had for more than a decade. She’s also been VP/GSM of KSAZ “FOX 10” and KUTP-TV, the FOX duopoly in Phoenix.

Earlier in her career, Oliver was a General Manager at WCGV-TV and WVTV-TV in Milwaukee. She began her career in broadcasting at famed R&B radio station WJLB-FM 97.9 in Detroit.
Sheila Oliver holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both French and Telecommunications from Michigan State University.
