From NASA To the Metroplex For Hinson

He’s a Texas native who once held leadership roles at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where he managed live television operations for the International Space Station. Most recently, he was VP of Technology for the ABC Owned Television Stations property in Houston. Now, this 20-year veteran is the head of the CBS Stations properties in Dallas-Fort Worth.


Earning the role of President/GM of CBS Texas, which is comprised of KTVT-11 and unaffiliated KTXA-21, is Tim Hinson.

Hinson reports Jennifer Mitchell, President of CBS Stations and CBS News and Stations Digital.

Tim’s technical background, coupled with his experience leading high-performing teams, makes him the ideal leader to guide CBS Texas into its next chapter.”

Hinson’s experience includes launching 19 free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels, leading a master control transition and implementing AI captioning across multiple stations.
