An original HELL’S KITCHEN and the series premiere of MASTERCHEF led FOX to a dominant nightly win, beating the next highest rated network by +40% among Adults 18-49 and +63% among Adults 18-34. FOX also ranked No. 1 among Adults 25-54 and all key male and female demos last night.
In addition, HELL’S KITCHEN and MASTERCHEF were the No. 1 and No. 2 highest-rated shows of the night.
At 8p HELL’S KITCHEN posted a 2.8/10 among Adults 18-49, up 4% versus last week (2.7/9) and up +2% in Total Viewers (6.2 vs. 6.1 Mil.) HELL’S KITCHEN won the 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54 and all key male and female demos.
The series debut of MASTER CHEF at 9p posted a 2.7/8 among Adults 18-49 and is the highest rated series debut of the summer among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
MASTER CHEF retained 96% (losing only one-tenth) of its HELL’S KITCHEN lead-in (2.8/10) among Adults 18-49.
MASTER CHEF won the 9pm hour and beat NBC’s America’s Got Talent in head to head competition in the 9p hour by +29% among Adults 18-49 (2.7/8 vs. 2.1/6) and by +73% among Adults 18-34 (2.6/9 vs. 1.5/5).

In fact, MASTER CHEF is the highest rated series summer premiere on any net since 2008 among Adults 18-49 (NBC’s America’s Toughest Jobs on 8/25/08) and Adults 18-34 (NBC’s Baby Borrowers on 6/25/08).
Competition
ABC aired a two-hour repeat of Wipeout (2.3/7) followed by a special repeat of Primetime: What Would You Do? (1.5/5).
On CBS, NCIS (1.5/5), NCIS: LA (1.2/4) and The Good Wife (0.8/3) were all repeats.
The series premiere of NBC’s Breakthrough with Tony Robbins (0.8/3) matched NBC comedy 100 Questions as the lowest rated new-series launch on any network this summer and on NBC ever. At 9p, America’s Got Talent (2.5/7) posted its lowest original rating of the summer, down -17% from last week.
