Fox's 'Bones' remains solid number two Thursday

FOX aired the second week of its Thursday dramas, BONES and FRINGE, last night.  BONES posted a 2.5/8 among Adults 18-49 and showed a modest drop from last week’s premiere (-7%).  BONES ranked No. 2 in the 8p hour among Adults 18-49.  At 9p week two of FRINGE delivered a 1.9/5 and also displayed a moderate decline from its premiere last week in Adults 18-49 (-10%). 


Competition

New drama My Generation (1.1/3) matched ABC’s lowest rating ever for an original in-season telecast in the Thursday 8p hour, dropping -31% from its series premiere a week ago (1.6/5). At 9p, Grey’s Anatomy (4.4/12) delivered its lowest fall telecast ever, down -19% from its season debut (5.4/14). Private Practice posted a 2.9/8, losing -34% of its Grey’s Anatomy lead-in and falling -9% week-to-week (3.2/9).

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (4.3/14) dropped -12% from its week-ago Thursday debut (4.9/16), posting its lowest original rating since its May 09 season finale (3.7/11 on 5/11/09). At 830p, the second episode of $#*! My Dad Says delivered a 3.2/10, down -20% from its series premiere last week (4.0/12) and -26% from its Big Bang Theory lead-in.  CSI (3.0/8) continued to weaken in its eleventh season, dropping -12% week-to-week (3.4/9) and -27% from the same night last year (4.1/11 on 10/1/09).  At 10p, The Mentalist (3.0/9) matched its lowest ever performance in the time period, also falling -12% from last week’s premiere (3.4/10).

On NBC, Community (1.9/6) was down -14% from its premiere last week (2.2/7). 30 Rock (2.6/8) was flat with its premiere, while The Office (3.7/10) was down -16% (vs. 4.4/12). New comedy Outsourced rated a 2.8/7, losing -24% of its Office lead-in and falling -22% from last week’s series premiere (3.6/10). The Apprentice (1.4/4) matched last week’s all-time franchise low, losing -50% of its Outsourced lead-in and finishing a distant third in the 10p hour.
