Fox wins 4th consecutive night


FOXFOX Wednesday Ratings: FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens, thanks to two exciting hours of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

FOX has now ranked #1 for four straight nights (Sun/Mon/Tue/Wed) and has ranked #1 for 16 out of the past 20 nights that HELL’S KITCHEN, MASTERCHEF or SYTYCD has aired this summer.   In Adults 18-34, FOX has ranked #1 every night SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE has aired.

·         SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: 1.8/6, down -10% from last week, due to increased competition on the night

o    SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-49 (tie).

o    With SYTYCD, FOX outperformed the #2 networks for the night by +29% in Adults 18-49 (1.8 vs. CBS’ 1.4) and +78% in Adults 18-34 (1.6 vs. 0.9 for both ABC and NBC).


ABC ran repeats of The Middle (0.8/3), Suburgatory (0.9/3), and Modern Family (1.4/4 at 9pm and 1.5/4 at 9:30pm), followed by an original episode of Final Witness (1.2/4), up one tenth from last week.

On CBS, the Wednesday premiere of Big Brother 14 posted a 1.9/7, down -30% from last summer’s Wednesday premiere (2.7/9 on 7/13/11).  Big Brother has downtrended through its first three telecasts this season (2.6/8 > 2.3/7 > 1.9/7). Repeats of Criminal Minds (1.0/3) and CSI (1.1/3) followed at 9pm and 10pm.

Following repeats of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers (1.1/4) and Up All Night (0.8/3), NBC’s America’s Got Talent (1.9/6) posted its lowest original rating ever (excluding recaps), down -5% from last week (2.0/6). A repeat Law & Order: SVU delivered a 1.1/3 at 10pm.
