Fox Sunday animation comes in fourth place

Airing against the high-rated Grammys on CBS, FOX’s Animation Domination block saw declines but still ranked #2 for the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens. 


After an encore THE SIMPSONS at 7pm (1.3/4), an original AMERICAN DAD posted a 1.9/6, down -14% from its last telecast on 1/23/11 (vs. 2.2/5).  At 8p THE SIMPSONS delivered a 2.7/7, down -10% vs. its last telecast (3.0/7 on 1/23/11), while BOB’S BURGERS with 2.1/5 was down one-tenth from its last original (-5%, 2.1/5 vs. 2.2/5 on 1/23/11). 

FAMILY GUY at 9p delivered a 3.2/8 among Adults 18-49 down -14% from its most recent telecast on 1/16/11 (vs. 3.7/9).  At 9:30p THE CLEVELAND SHOW posted a 2.4/6, up +4% from its last telecast (2.3/5 on 1/23/11).

Competition

Following America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.8/6, down -14%), ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (1.6/4) dropped -41% and tied its lowest regular original performance ever. Airing against The Grammys, Desperate Housewives (2.6/6) and Brothers & Sisters (1.8/5) both posted their lowest original ratings ever, down -16% and -10% from their last originals.

Following 60 Minutes (2.1/7), CBS’s presentation of the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards delivered a 10.3/26 from 8-11p, up +4% from last year’s telecast (9.9/24 from 8-11:30p).

NBC ran a two-hour Dateline Sunday (1.1/3, down -15%) at 7p, followed by repeats of Harry’s Law at 9p (0.8/2) and 10p (0.6/2).
